Attractive concerts and film exhibitions as adornments of 63rd Pula

107MEDIJSKACLANAK

After last week's film programme announcement, the traditional programmes that enrich the Festival offering beyond the screening of films were presented on the 1st of July in the foyer of Cinema Valli. The public was addressed on this occasion by the Director Gordana Restović, Art Council member Tanja Miličić, a representative of the City of Pula Fabrizio Radin and Ana Peruško, spokeswoman for the KMAG-KIA Motors Adria Group, the new Festival sponsor.

The first of six exhibitions, which gravitate around the Arena location, focus of the Festival, called "Exhibition of contemporary Serbian film posters" by curator Miroljub Vučković, will open its doors on July 7th in SKUC, and the day after at the Makina Gallery "Impromptu" by Mario Delić, "Renata Poljak: Partenza" by the curator Mladen Lučić at MSUI. The Festival's Sunday is traditionally reserved for the opening of the exhibition "Cinemaniac", by the curator Branka Benčić, while the "exhibition of the School of Applied Arts and Design Pula student work" is organised for the day after at the Cinema Valli. The last link of the exhibition cycle will be held at the C8 Gallery on the 12th of July and it is represented by the "ATTENTION ... shooting in Istria!" organised in cooperation with the Istrian Film Commission and Daniel Rafaelić.

Besides exhibitions, an important and unmisable element of the Festival nights is the thematically diverse music offer, so the following bands will perform Detour, Nola, Mate Matišić quartet, Rundek Cargo Trio and Drvored, the three DJs; Innaca, Ivo Zuban and Mario Kovač. The programme is possible thanks to the general sponsor of the music programme - Zagrebačka Banka which this year gives visitors a unique musical experience, said Restović and added, All the programmes are free, except for film screenings in the Arena, two films per evening where the price remains unchanged at the popular 25 Kuna! Additional benefits can be obtained by purchasing tickets for the whole week and by audience request, tickets and new 63rd Pula personalised souvenirs are now available online. From the 2nd of July, tickets and souvenirs (T-shirts, notebooks, magnets, pendants) will be available at the information point and tickets will be available before the screening in front of the Arena.

Tanja Miličić announced a special guest that will be awarded with the Golden Arena prize for lifetime achievement, director Marta Mészáros, one of the world's most remarkable film directors whose films have marked the most important international film festivals and greatly changed the world in which we live. She is the first woman to have directed a Hungarian film and the first woman to win the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and to whom this year's retrospective is dedicated.

The new sponsor of 63rd Pula Film Festival, KMAG-KIA Motors Adria Group was presented. This year, Kia Motors will provide a fleet to Festival guests to be able to get to the Festival site timely and comfortably, said KIA representative Ana Peruško.
