A two-day Pula Film Festival 1st Open Door Days, held from 25th to 26th of February, successfully finished counting 319 visitors.
Educational institutions showed the biggest interest for the PFF 1st Open Door Days, and elementary schools Kaštanjer, Centar and Šijana, the High school for Education, the Vocational High School and nurseries Latica, Val, Školjkice and Vjeverice had organized visits. Institution’s business activity, cinema-screenings activities and Pula Film Festival programme were presented to school’s and nurseries’ visitors on the 1st Open Door Days.
The young visitors were particularly given insight into past and modern screening techniques and all visitors got several centimetres of “ the old” 35 mm film as a souvenir. A Camera obscura workshop, an optical device that led to photography, and therefore to film, was also held. Program also included cartoon characters templates children colouring, and films made and produced in creative PFF workshops “The Professor Balthazar’s Adventurous Laboratory”, respectively RED workshop, were screened, and those films were made by children of the same age as visitors. The Institutions was also visited by other citizens, who were mostly looking for information about job vacancies on the 62nd Pula Film Festival, the festival sidebar programmes and The Valli Cinema general business activities.
